The Howard County Chamber is proud to share our 2025 Annual Report, a reflection of a year defined by growth, innovation, and deepened connections across our business community. As we look back, one thing is clear: 2025 was a pivotal year for both the Chamber and the thousands of professionals, businesses, and organizations we serve.
This year marked several major milestones, including the opening of our new office on the Downtown Columbia lakefront. More than just a change of address, this welcoming and modern space has quickly become a hub for collaboration, a place where members gather for open houses, committee meetings, and meaningful conversations that spark new partnerships.
We also strengthened our team and leadership structure in exciting ways. Events Manager Brianna Scott joined the Chamber, bringing fresh energy to our signature programs and member engagement efforts. In addition, we welcomed Matt Anderson of World Insurance as our new Board Chair, whose leadership is already shaping the Chamber’s strategic direction.
Our programming reached new heights in 2025. We hosted our largest Women’s Leadership Conference yet, continued to grow member favorites like the Golf Classic and Summer Social, and celebrated a standout Vintage Hollywood Signature Event. We also expanded opportunities for member involvement across committees, the Young Professionals Network, and our Awards for Chamber Excellence, which recognize outstanding leadership across the region.
Advocacy remained at the heart of our work. Throughout a highly active legislative session, the Chamber amplified the voice of local businesses, engaged on key policy issues, and provided real-time updates through our Bill Tracker to keep members informed and empowered.
Behind the scenes, our marketing and communications efforts helped elevate member stories, strengthen our brand, and highlight the vibrant business ecosystem that makes Howard County unique. Our Annual Partners played a critical role in supporting these efforts and ensuring the Chamber can deliver high-quality programming year-round.
As we look toward 2026, we are energized by the launch of our 2026-2028 Strategic Plan and new initiatives such as Nonprofit Roundtables, which will bring new opportunities for learning, connection, and support across every sector of our membership.
