Jon Nitz joined the Chamber as Program Assistant in September 2016. Before joining the Chamber, he spent time working as a banker while also freelancing as a music performer and teacher.
Jon holds a Graduate Performance Diploma from The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in Music Performance from the University of Cincinnati, and bachelor’s degree in Music Performance also from the University of Cincinnati.
Jon enjoys being active in the community. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Columbia Pro Cantare, a nationally recognized non-profit chorus and volunteers regularly as part of Mosaic Christian Church’s band.
Jon is a Maryland native and currently resides in Columbia with his wife, daughter, and two dogs. He enjoys music of any genre and anything related to guitar gear, video games, comic books, movies, or the 80’s.

- Provides front line customer service to walk-ins, visitors, callers
- Assists with all Chamber events and programs
