Join us, September 15 – 17, 2019, for an exciting Inter-City Visit and Leadership Conference in Somerset County, New Jersey.
As evidenced by the many statewide and national accolades received, Howard County is a place held in high regards by many. Safe streets, highly ranked schools, pristine neighborhoods, and outstanding parks are all just a few reasons why many have chosen Howard County as their personal and/or business home. While the county continues to grow and prosper, there are challenges that if not acknowledged and adequately addressed, will threaten our economic vitality. Consequently, the Howard County Chamber is planning to embark upon an Intercity Leadership Visit in 2019.
In spearheading an intercity visit, the Howard County Chamber will take approximately 20-30 business and civic leaders alongside County Executive Calvin Ball and elected and appointed officials to Somerset County, NJ. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Somerset County has the highest per capita income in the state of New Jersey. Other demographics and characteristics mirror that of Howard County as well. We will spend two and a half to three days from September 15 – 17 visiting this community, with the purpose of identifying best practices that we might implement in our home county.
The cost of the trip is $1,149 which includes food, lodging, and transportation.
