Peer Advisory Board

The first few months of each calendar year are fraught with business owners setting new goals for business growth. Why not get your year started off right by joining the Howard County Chamber’s Peer Advisory Board? To aid you in your strategic growth efforts, we have partnered with The Alternative Board/TAB-BWI on a 90-day Peer Advisory Board program that has been designed exclusively for Howard County Chamber of Commerce member businesses. It provides a common foundation for learning and sharing using a structured, proven approach to facilitate a board meeting where peers are each other’s board of advisers. Business owners will work with other CEO/Principal/Owner peers facing the same business challenges while being challenged and held accountable to monthly goals by a nationally certified Peer Board facilitator.

The Chamber’s Peer Advisory Board
 • provides owners, principals or partners with the tools, skills and perspectives to reach your personal and professional goals.
 • introduces owners to new thinking and best practices other business owners are currently engaging

 As a result, you...
 • gain a deeper understanding of your unique role in shaping company direction,
 • improve business performance, and
 • develop overall general business acumen, strategy and leadership skills through board participation with your peers and an Alternative Board certified facilitator.

All members will be held accountable to achieve monthly goals by your peers through the monthly meetings.
